Wearing two masks increases the chance of preventing corona virus

Is wearing two masks better than just one, and does it really increase the chances of prevention?

Wearing two masks provides greater protection against the Corona virus, according to doctor "Anthony Fauci".

Wearing two masks increases the chance to prevent corona virus!

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the chief physician's advisor in America, says that although opinions differ about the importance of the mask in preventing the virus, it is possible that wearing two masks provides greater protection against the Corona virus.

Dr. Fauci explained that the mask provides a tangible barrier that prevents cough droplets from spreading to nearby people, and provides some kind of protection to mask wearers, making it logical to increase the chance of prevention with wearing masks!

Dr. Fauci added that this is the reason why some people wear one of the N95 masks, while others wear two other types.

Infectious disease experts at Stanford Health Care, Mayo Clinic Hospital and John Hopkins University said there was no medical evidence to support this news.

Nisa Ernest, a chief nurse in the Department of Biological Containment at Johns Hopkins University, showed her support for the lack of medical evidence to support the news, but she showed the importance of tangible barriers, saying that there are many accounts that may support the availability of more protection in mask wearers.

Although the CDC has not recommended wearing two masks so far, many people have been spotted wearing two masks, such as wearing a surgical mask under a cloth mask.

The researchers say that wearing a surgical mask under the cloth mask provides maximum protection, as the surgical mask acts as an air purifier, while the cloth mask acts as an additional layer of insulation as the two masks act as a barrier against virus particles in the air.

And according to the CDC, a mask that contains two layers of breathable, tightly woven fabric, such as quilted fabric or cotton layers, should be worn with snug coverage for the mouth and nose.

Professor Paula Cannon explains that despite the conflicting opinions about the double masks, wearing a single mask made of suitable materials in general provides adequate protection, but wearing an additional mask may increase the stability of the first mask and improve the tightness of the mask on the face.
